He was predeceased by: his wife Kay Kearney; his daughter-in-law Kathy Kearney; and his granddaughter Erin DeWar. He is survived by: his sons, Wayne Kearney (Michelle) of Newport, Earl Kearney of Havelock, NC, Henry Kearney (Karen) of New Bern, NC and Joe Kearney (Cheryl) of Newport, NC; his grandchildren, Holly Robison, Amanda Kearney, Steven Kearney, Justin Kearney, Taylor Page, Matthew Willis, Chelsea Willis, Tyller Prive and Lauren Forbush; and his great grandchildren, Liam Page, Redding Robison, Owen Cole Onuffer, Katie DeWar, Alex DeWar, Arianna DeWar, Joshua DeWar, Mary Rose Lashus and David Roger Lashus IV.
