It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Vetterly Smith (Havelock, North Carolina), who passed away on November 22, 2019, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Smith and Emma Smith. He is survived by: his wife Jean Smith; and his children, Douglas Smith, Bryan Smith, Barbara Nelson and Claudia Virga. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
