It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hazel Conway of Havelock, North Carolina, born in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, who passed away on March 23, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Moore and Gracie Moore; and her brother James Russell Moore. She is survived by: her husband Allen Conway Jr.; her children, Rebecca Anne Keiser (Travis Moss) of Rocky Mount and Terry Ross Rook, Jr. (Desiree) of Beaufort; her siblings, Connie Mae Brooks (Ron) of Gaston, Vanessa Dale Benton (Benny) of Swansboro, Melvin Douglas Moore (Diann) of Roanoke Rapids and Gilbert Wilson Moore of Roanoke Rapids; her grandchildren, Allysa Rodriguez, Miguel Rodriguez, Brianna Rook and Ciarra Rook; and her pet Callie.
In keeping with the CDC guidelines pertaining to the Coronavirus, those who are ill or at-risk (elderly, immune-compromised) are encouraged to stay home.
