It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Henry Proctor Sermons Sr. of Havelock, North Carolina, who passed away on December 13, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Oscar Sermons; his former wife Eva Frances Sermons (Gladden); his mother Mamie Lee Sermons (Proctor); his siblings, Evelyn (Lockey), Peggy (Sampson) and William O. Sermons (Bill); and his granddaughter Catherine West.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Williams; and his children, Hank Sermons, Jr. (Angie), Cindy Griffin (Billy) of Pollocksville, NC, Connie West (David) of Wilmington, NC, Ginny Cardelli (Alexis), Nancy Sermons (Diane Kilby) and Les Sermons II (Dawn) of Watertown, NY. He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren; his 20 great-grandchildren; his nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to The First Baptist Church "Steps Fund", 111 Hollywood Blvd, Havelock, NC 28532.
