She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Christian and Violet Christian; her husband John Newton Gillespie; and her brother Arthur Edward Christian. She is survived by: her children, Maggie Green of New Bern, Genell Bloyd (Sam) of Havelock and John Gillespie (Linda) of Warner Robbins, GA. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
