She was predeceased by: her daughter Sylvia Cochrane. She is survived by: her husband Richard "Dick" Hoogendam; her son Rick Hoogendam; her granddaughters, Heather (Mark Weiermann) of Bend and Michele (Ken Buday); her great grandchild Savannah of Carolina Pines; Elsie.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 324 Miller Blvd, Havelock, NC 28532.
