He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Blackwell Livengood and Margaret Bugg Livengood; his sister Sis Morse; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Burd, Bob Guinn, Arnold Griffin, Geraldine Guinn and Irene Griffin.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Griffin of Roanoke Rapids; his daughters, Margaret Paige, Virginia Mae (Ginny), Paige Livengood of Atlantic Beach and Ginny Lovier of Skaneateles; his son-in-law John Lovier; his grandchildren, Meg of Skaneateles, Michael of Skaneateles, Jack of Skaneateles and James of Skaneateles; his sister-in-law Esther Burd; and his friends, John Anderson, Joe Warner, Jimmy Neese, Mike Deichmann, Monk and Joyce. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Monk will be dearly missed by his family and his lifelong friends, including those who visited or called him weekly to chat when it was difficult to get out during the pandemic.
