She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Ward Scott and Ruby Heath Scott; and her brother C. W. Scott Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Rev. John B. Thompson Jr.; her sons, Johnny Thompson III (Kris) of Havelock and Scott Thompson (Melisa) of Havelock; her grandchildren, John Ben Thompson IV of Havelock, Timothy Thompson of Havelock, Lanie Xan Thompson of Havelock and Christian Thompson of Havelock; and her sibling's children, Zigi "Wanda" Scott, Mike Scott (Amy) and Larry Scott (Sheila).
