We are sad to announce that on February 15, 2021, at the age of 80, Shirley Ann Huegele McNeil of Havelock, North Carolina, born in San Antonio, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Huegele and Edna Huegele. She is survived by: her husband William McNeil; her children, Kelly-Marie McNeil of New Bern and Steve McNeil (Miranda Henderson) of New Bern; her grandchildren, Riley McNeil and Major McDonald; and her sibling's children, Michael McNeil, Kathy Bauer and Elizabeth McGenis.

“Shirley and I have been friends for almost 30 years. I will miss our conversations, dinners, movies, travel and her good companionship. Friends like her don't come along often enough. I just talked to her recently and we agreed to call each other every two weeks to stay in touch. I sent her pictures of my new granddaughter. She talked proudly of her grandchildren. She loved her family so much! I'm still in disbelief that she's gone. My love and support go to Bill, Kelly and Steven.”
