She is survived by: her children, Robert Bess of Havelock, Steven Bess, Christopher Bess, Culdedlia Bess of Havelock, Mary Bess of New Bern, Shirley Matski and Tabitha Lim; and her brother Charles Johnson of Scranton, PA. She is also survived by three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
