He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucius Geddings and Ruth Geddings; and his daughter Georgean R. Ogorzaly. He is survived by: his wife Georgean A. Geddings; his children, Deborah Jolly (Keith) of Newport, Kathy Geddings, Gary Kautz of Bloomingdale, NJ, Ruth Ann Mechling (Rusty) of Midland, MI, Vernon G. Geddings (Karen) of Havelock, Charles R. Geddings of Havelock and Christopher L. Geddings of Havelock; his sister Ruth Ann Barrineau of Sumter, SC; his grandchildren, Roseanne Kautz, Melissa A. Thiesse, Danielle Geddings, Amanda Mechling, Wyatt Mechling, Angela Mechling, Jessie Geddings and Jake Geddings; and his great grandchildren, Jarmon A. Fonville, Anna Thiesse and Marceline Florence.
