He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Stokes and Charity Stokes; and his son Russel James Stokes. He is survived by: his wife Alice "Rusty" Stokes; his children, Bobbilynn LaPinska (Brandon) and Wayne Leslie Stokes, Jr.; his wife Mary Briggs; his brother Jessie Stokes (Avis); his friend Diane Higgins; Alfred L. Briggs (Wendy Grace). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
