He was predeceased by : his wife Josephine "Josie" Breashears; his parents, Homer Breashears and Gertrude Kirby Breashears; his son Joe Breashears; and his siblings, James Breashears, Wilda Keene, Norma Sommers (Ray), Freida Butcher (Charlie), Patricia Josey and Juanita Wilson (Perry).
He is survived by : his daughters, Teresa Wellons (Gene) of Snow Camp and Sherry Padgett (Donnie) of Haw River; his daughter-in-law Melea Breashears of Graham; and his siblings-in-law, Arnold Keene of Cedar Bluff, VA, Billy Josey of Troutman, NC and Verdie Mae Breashears of Graham. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren.
