Clyta Matheson Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 7, 2022, at the age of 88, Clyta Matheson of Hayesville, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Larken Russell and Viola Garrett Russell; her husband Howard Matheson; and her siblings, Burma Chastain and Angus Dawson Russell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Elaine Bearden (Barron) of Dalton and Kathy Ledford of Young Harris, Georgia; her brother Walter Russell of Forest Park, Georgia; her grandsons, Stephen Bearden of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Tim Bearden (Amy) of Chattanooga, Tennessee; and her great grandchildren, Jayden, Caedmon, Peyton Bearden and Nate Bearden. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family request that those attend please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
