He was predeceased by: his parents, Neal Newman and Nettie Edna Ledford Rogers; his siblings, Helen Hartley, Jean Moss, Nolan and Jimmy Rogers; and his stepdaughter Angela Lynne Forbes.
He is survived by: his wife Eulene Moore Rogers; his children, Janica Skelton (Bill) of Hayesville, Jennifer Moss (Rick) of Hayesville and Tim Ledford (Susan) of Hayesville; his stepchildren, Jacqueline Woody (Tony) of Edmonton, Kentucky and Jamie Ledford of Lilburn, Georgia; his siblings, Patricia Noel (Jerry) of Leeds, Cheryl Bracken (Ron) of Augusta, Georgia, Harry Rogers of Hayesville and Bobby Rogers (Betty) of Hayesville; and his grandchildren, Will Skelton, Katlyn Tanner, Kyle Moss, Laci, Luke Ledford, John, Logan Rickett, Cole Ledford, Dave Thurman and Cory Ledford. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
