She was predeceased by: her parents, James H. Harper and Alma Baugh Harper; her husband Robert "Bobby" Allen Newton; and her brother James N. Harper Jr.. She is survived by: her sons, Sidney Earl Smith Jr., Edward Allen Newton and Anthony "Tony" Ray Newton (Jennifer Ellis); her grandchildren, Robert Newton, Taylor Sullivan and Adriane Sullivan; her brother William Harper; and her siblings-in-law, Donnie Newton and Betty Newton. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
