He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Donald MacKenzie and Ella Mary Armington MacKenzie. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Martin; his daughters, Jennifer MacKenzie Corn (Brian) of Hendersonville and Meredith MacKenzie (Erich Buehler) of Arden; his grandson Alex Ray Corn of Hendersonville; his brother John MacKenzie (Loretta) of Fort Meyers, Florida; his siblings-in-law, Colleen Martin Fugere of Northfield, Vermont, Duane Martin (Macie George) of Florida, Vaughn Martin (Kathy Retchless) of Williamstown, Vermont and Brice Martin (Mary) of Brookfield; and his sibling's children, Kristen, Jeremy, Joshua, Colina and Josiah.

For the last few years, he struggled with debilitating Parkinson's disease which took from him almost all of his physical abilities.
