He was predeceased by : his parents, Ben K. Middleton and Artes Mae Stepp; and his siblings, Clifford Middleton, Joan Trantham and Debbie Whitmire.
He is survived by : his wife Barbara Cannon Middleton; his children, Lorri Smith of Asheville, Tara Middleton of Hendersonville, Carlton Middleton and Josh Cannon of Hendersonville; his grandchildren, Brittany, Ben Rucker, Gaige Cannon, Lexi Middleton and Jayden Odachowski; and his sister Wilma Gordon of Hendersonville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
