It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laurel Jeanne Peart (Hendersonville, North Carolina), who passed away on April 26, 2026, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Beulah "Billie" May Mitchell and Russell Elliot Bates; and her husband Edward Lynn Peart. She is survived by: her sister Cornelia May Bates Madsen; and her children, Melissa Craven (Dallen), Ben Peart (Julie), David Peart (Lisa), Aaron Peart (Debbie), Michelle Kotter (Michael), Jacob Peart (Tammy), Danielle Lovejoy (Andy), Jonathan Peart (Rachel), Joseph Peart (Mindy), Judy Flaschar (Bill), Vicki Elgerzah (Ahmed), Gene Smith (Latonya) and Steve Goode (Michelle). She is also survived by 56 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (3401 Sweeten Creek Rd, Arden, NC 28704). A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Shepherd Memorial Park (5045 Asheville Hwy, Hendersonville, NC 28791).
