He was predeceased by: his parents, E. A. "Chub" Goodman and Audrey Stanton Goodman; and his siblings, Anita Goodman Miller and W. E. "Buddy" Goodman. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Black Goodman; his daughters, Kimberly Ann Goodman of Edenton, Stephanie Goodman Lawrence (Chad) of Hertford and Lisa Goodman Bunch (Carroll) of Edenton; and his sister Darlene Goodman Harrell (Jimmy) of Hertford. He is also survived by two granddaughters, four grandsons, a great-granddaughter, a great-grandson; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
