It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Agnes Kate Thomas Wright of Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on July 24, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her husband Reverend Alfred Wright; her son Carl Thomas; her granddaughter Makia Hargrove; her stepdaughter Callie Brown; her siblings, Sammie Thomas, Jr., Ida Louise Thomas and Frances Dula; her brother-in-law Crock Clemmons; her children, Althea Wright Hargrove of Charlotte, N. C., Alfred James Wright of Hickory and Abraham Wright (Hope) of Charlotte, N. C.; her siblings, Rufus Thomas (Hattie) of Hickory, N. C. and Farris Clemmons of Fallston, N. C.; her daughter-in-law Helen Thomas of Hickory, N. C.; her nieces, Deborah Heard of Hickory, N. C. and Dira Foreman (Roland) of Hickory, N. C.; and her close friends, Geneva Frederick of Hickory, NC and Mildred Surratt of Hickory, NC. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
