He is survived by: his parent Rosalia Abernethy Abernathy; his sons, Randy Abernathy (Dana) of Cherryville, NC and Richie Abernathy (Pam) of Atlanta, GA; his granddaughters, Audra Faye Boyd (Kevin) of Charlotte, NC and Megan Morris (Bubba) of Salisbury, NC; his brother Jerry Abernathy of Connelly Springs; and his great grandchild Hatton Alaina Boyd. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
