She was predeceased by: her parents, Laura Howell and Weaver Freeman; her husband Robert Brown Hamilton, Sr.; and her sons, Phillip F. Hamilton and Robert B. Hamilton, Jr..
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Laura Evans (Jamison) of Johnson City, TN, Angela Bridges (Donnie) of Lincolnton, NC and Jeffrey Hamilton of Lincolnton, NC; her sister Ruth Franks of Hickory, NC; and her niece Ruth Ann Broyles of Washington, DC. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to West Hickory Baptist Church, 40 12th St., NW, Hickory, NC 28601.
