She was predeceased by: her mother Carolyn M. Bowman; her grandparents, Wade, Ann Bowman, Cloyd and Maye Starnes; and her mother-in-law Rosemary Deaton.
She is survived by: her father James R. Bowman; her husband Gene Deaton; her sister Tina Bowman Thomas (Jeremy) of Hickory; her nieces, Sommer Madden (Keith) and Michaela Suttles; and her aunts, Denise Harrill (Michael) and Patricia Burke (Quentin). She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and great nieces.
