It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Asoka Lorensuhewa of Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on August 3, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Asoka Lorensuhewa to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dhanapala Lorensuhewa and Yasawathie Lorensuhewa; and his sister Kumudu Lorensuhewa. He is survived by: his wife Ramanie Lorensuhewa; his daughter Menaka Land of Hickory, NC; his granddaughters, Celeste and Carley Land of Hickory, NC; and his siblings, Pushpa Wijewickrema of Asheville, NC, Geetha Brown of Pompano Beach, FL, Usha DeSilva of New York, NY and Ranga Lorensuhewa (Sri Lanka). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In honoring Asoka's love of animals, and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Catawba County Humane Society in his memory.
