He was predeceased by: his parents, Burl Knox and Toye Herman Knox; and his grandson Tyler Blackwood. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Miller Knox; his sister Berlene Mabrey of Connelly Springs; his children, Jeff Knox (Sandy), Jodi Brown (Rich) and Joann Blackwood (Scott); his grandchildren, Brian Knox (Sarah) of Charlottesville, VA, Josh Knox (Heather) of Connelly Springs, Jenny Walker (Scott) of Hickory, Mindy Cook (Tyler) of Granite Falls, Kyle McQuiston (Whitley) of Granite Falls, Kali, Kieran Smith of Connelly Springs, Alec Blackwood (Taylor) of Connelly Springs and Trey Blackwood of Connelly Springs; and his great grandchildren, Chloe Titman, Carter, Elizabeth Knox, Axel Walker and McQuiston.
