It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bettie S Boggs of Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on January 18, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Durham and Mazie Sturgill Durham; and her children, Mazie Boggs, Rita Bumgarner and Richard Walter Boggs.

She is survived by: her sons, George Boggs, Robert Boggs (Elizabeth), Charles Barrett and Tim Sturgill; and her sisters, Alice Davidson and Mary Efimoff. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

No services will be held due to Covid.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Catawba County Humane Society.
