It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Joyce Lutz Rhoney (Hickory, North Carolina), born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on January 21, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alies Elbert Lutz and Lottie Buff Lutz; her husband Robert Eugene Rhoney; and her brothers, David Wayne Lutz and John Allan Lutz.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jan Rhoney Hewitt (Ric) of Cape Canaveral, FL, Peggy Rhoney Loftin (Gerry) of Hickory and Sarah Rhoney Keeter (Randy) of Hickory; her siblings-in-law, Judy Lutz of Hickory, Kay Lutz of Saluda, NC and Lawrence Rhoney of Hickory; her grandchildren, Phillip Silver, Daniel Silver, Andrew Loftin, Seth Loftin, Elizabeth Keeter and David Keeter; and her great grandchildren, Natalie Silver, Luke Silver, Tilley Loftin and Colton Silver.
