With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Billie Byrd Starnes Hicks (Hickory, North Carolina), born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on May 17, 2020 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Issac Starnes and Corrie Sides Starnes; her husband Glenn Grover Hicks; and her grandson Cliff Hicks. She is survived by: her children, Lynn Hicks Barger (Bobby Joe) of Hickory and William Burkard Hicks (Diane) of Bethlehem; and her grandchildren, Cally J. Barger of Hickory, Aubrey Barger Dutta (Sanjoy) of Memphis, TN, Glenn Hicks (Elizabeth) of San Francisco, CA, Jennifer Sigmon of Hickory and Morgan Redmond of Boone, NC. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
