He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Henderson Guin and Nettie Lowder Guin; and his children, Cynthia Guin and Billy Donald Guin, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Thomas Guin; his daughter Robin Valentino (Patrick) of High Point; and his sister Betty Sain of Hildebran.
