He was predeceased by: his parents, Colonel Stephen M. Godfrey and Janette Parker Godfrey. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Wieman Godfrey; his sons, Mark Godfrey (Stephanie) and Matthew Godfrey (Mariko); and his grandchildren, Blakely, Chiyo and Kohei. He is also survived by five siblings and numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.
