He was predeceased by: his parents, Grady Lingerfelt and Lorene Kiser Lingerfelt; his wife Jean; and his siblings, Floyd, George "Tunk", Scotty and Linda.
He is survived by: his sons, Gary Lingerfelt (Cheryl) and Lee Lingerfelt (Kathy); his siblings, Louella Craig and J. D. Lingerfelt (Joyce); his grandchildren, Michael Lingerfelt (Brezy Trivett) and Lindsay Lingerfelt (Jonathan Honeycutt); and his stepdaughter Kathy Lochlear. He is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Brookdale Hickory Northeast Senior Living.
