He was predeceased by: his parents, Forest Edward and Vernie Brown Leatherman; his siblings, Jack, Gene, James, Harold, Teddy Leatherman, Helen L. Young and Jo; and his grandmother L. Raybon.
He is survived by: his sisters, Polly Anderson (Harold) of Taylorsville and Peggy Francis (Joe) of Midland; and his sister-in-law Jan Leatherman of Lenoir. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
