He is survived by: his parent Emma Lowe; his wife Curryline "Tina" Merritt; his son Christopher Merritt (Frances) of Orlando; his grandchildren, Chaski Merritt of Tucson and Chonteh Merritt of Orlando; and his siblings, Kenneth Merritt (Frances) of Lawndale, N. C., Andrew Merritt of Las Vegas, NV, Joe Merritt of Charlotte, N. C., Ernest Merritt (Pam) of Shelby, N. C., Sunday Craig (Dorothy Hall) and Geraldine Friday (Leon) of Hickory, N. C.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many other relative and friends.
