We are sad to announce that on May 22, 2021, at the age of 86, Carl William Moretz Jr. (Hickory, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Carl William Moretz Sr.; and his sisters, Jean Wilson, Thelmalene Hefner, Merna Eckard, Carla Pate and Revonda Cline.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Hoke Moretz; his daughter Melanie Starr of Raleigh; his grandson Brett; and his granddaughter-in-law Ashley Starr of Greenville. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
