He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Dale and Mavis Hudson Bumgardner; and his siblings, Christine Sherrill, Mary Tyree, Dale Bumgardner and Melvin Bumgardner.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda McCracken Bumgardner; his children, Lora Deal (Shanon) of Hickory and Bobby Bumgardner of Claremont; his grandchildren, Kayla Foy (Weston), Justin Bumgardner, Alexus, Kylie Bumgardner, Trinity Bumgardner, Jase Deal and Keelyn Deal; his great grandchildren, Alayna, Rosie and Cali; and his sister Melvine Carpenter. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
