It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cecil Howard Campbell (Hickory, North Carolina), born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on January 3, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Campbell and Hazel Deal Campbell; and his former wives, Patricia Travis Campbell and Sherry Starnes Campbell. He is survived by: his wife Faye Laxton Campbell; his stepchildren, Michelle Hartley of Granite Falls, Tina Williams of Granite Falls, David Laxton and Allen Laxton; his brother-in-law Jack Leatherman; his stepgrandchildren, Nicole, Jordan Foster, David, Christina Alford, Jamie Williams, Cody Williams and Symphony Church; and his stepgreat-granddaughters, Lexi, Kaelyn and Layla.
Due to Covid-19 a graveside service will be held at Catawba Memorial Park, 3:00 p. m. on Thursday, January 7, 2021 with Pastor Mark Seaman officiating.
