With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Henry Yount of Hickory, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on January 13, 2021 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Noah Yount and Nettie Hawn Yount; his wife Valmena Gibbs Yount; and his siblings, Buddy, Sonny Yount, Emma Kate Collins and Shirley Sherrill.
He is survived by: his daughters, Wendy Y. Wilson (Eric) of Conover and Glenda Griffith (Britt) of Claremont; his grandchildren, Chance Wilson of Hickory, Samantha Wilson of Raleigh, Johnathan Griffith of Claremont and Joseph Griffith of Claremont; his sisters, Betty Joe Laffon of Hickory and Jean Painter (Robert) of Hickory; and his pet Wilma. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
