He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Lindsay and Nellie Lindsay; his son Russell; and his sister Nancy Long. He is survived by: his wife Retta Jane Lindsay; his sons, Mark (Connie) of Cary, NC and Dale (Jennifer) of Goldsboro, NC; his daughter-in-law Paula Lindsay of Asheville, NC; and his grandsons, Aaron Lindsay (Elizabeth) of Raleigh, NC, Kyle Lindsay of Fernandina Beach, FL and Dr. Christopher Lindsay (Taylor) of Coralville, Iowa.
