With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cora Keener (Hickory, North Carolina), born in Spruce Pine, North Carolina, who passed away on March 13, 2020 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Deck Sidney Franklin and Sybil Franklin; and her son Phillip Keener. She is survived by: her husband Talmadge Keener; her sons, Sidney A. Keener (Pam) of Holly Springs, NC, Thomas T. Keener (Susie) of Lewisville, NC, Brian L. Keener (Deborah) of Hickory and Anthony D. Keener (Sandy) of Belmont; and her grandchildren, Sarah Page, Derek Keener, Dr. Becky McKinnon, Heather Durand, Joshua Keener, Benjamin Keener, Brittany Keener, Mary Keener, Matthew Pearson and Elizabeth Pearson. She is also survived by 11 Great Grandchildren.
