It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doretta Gail Sigmon of Hickory, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on April 21, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Beckley and Virginia Dare Spencer Sigmon; her daughter Tameletah Starnes Baxley; and her siblings, Janice Bolick, Anna Rudisill, David and Dwayne Sigmon.
She is survived by: her children, Dennis Starnes Jr. (Deborah) and Pamala Starnes; her grandchildren, Christina Asbury (Ashley), Sydney Dockery (Cody), Logan Starnes, Corbin Starnes and Abigail Icard; her great grandchild Lincoln Asbury; her siblings, Lydia Mathis, Karen Shade and Allen Sigmon; and her close friend Ron Reidel.
