It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dorothy Elizabeth Hefner Barger (Hickory, North Carolina), born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on May 15, 2019, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Harlan Hefner and Jessie Lee Moser Hefner; her husband Howard Williams Barger; and her siblings, Charles Hefner, George Hefner, James Hefner, Virginia Sherrill, Frances Donkel, Geraldine Hefner and Joann Hefner.
She is survived by: her siblings, Bill Hefner (Betty), Carolyn Thornburg, Jackie Benfield (Cloyd) and Peggy Hefner. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
