She was predeceased by: her parents, William Eugene Melton and Beulah Luvina Melton; her husband Thomas Lee Ennis; and her siblings-in-law, Martha Ennis (Ed Bumgarner), Dr. George Ennis and Gary Hemrick.
She is survived by: her daughter Donna Thornburg (Mike) of Huntersville, NC; her grandchildren, Elliott Thornburg of Greenville, NC and Merritt Capps (Austin) of Taylorsville, NC; her great grandchildren, Micah of Taylorsville, NC, Declan of Taylorsville, NC and Elias Capps of Taylorsville, NC; her sisters, Charlene Hemrick of Charlotte, NC and Gayle Dancy (Fred) of Lenoir, NC; and her sisters-in-law, Peggy Ennis Swing (Paul) of St. Louis, MO, Frances Hahn Ennis of Hickory and Doris Ennis of Hickory. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
