He is survived by: his wife Patricia Starnes McEachern; his children, Edward "Ed" Merritt McEachern, III of Cumming, Georgia, Sally Bentley (Keith) of Hickory and Amy McEachern (Alice) of San Francisco, California; his grandchildren, Becky Bentley Stokes (Rex) of Hickory, Matt Bentley (Allie) of Blowing Rock, Taylor McEachern (Stacey) of Buford and Helen McEachern (Nick) of Bountiful, Utah; his stepgrandchildren, Josh Neff of San Francisco, CA, Sara Minahan (Ryan) of Oakland, CA and Hilary Miles (Kenny) of Pound, VA; his great grandchildren, Hunter McEachern, Olivia McEachern and Rome Bentley; and his stepgreat-grandson Miles Minahan.
