He was predeceased by: his father Elijah James Bass, Sr.; his siblings, Larry Eugene Bass, Edna Bass Gordon, Lila Mae Brown, Tressie Mae Bass Bost and Betty June Shook; his granddaughter Christina Clark; and his niece Janice Novich.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Teague Moretz; his children, James Keith Bass and Jerri Donna Edwards (Tony); his sister Peggy Eckard; his grandchildren, April Loftin, Marshall Sigmon, Roger Clark, Sara Clark, Paul Clark, Chelsie Goins, Wesley Uzzell, Austin Shuford, Eli Brooks and Axel Brooks; and his great grandchildren, Lacey Clark, Lane Clark, Jasper Loftin, Lillie Clark, Americus Hullet, Karson Clark, Peyton Clark and Alexis Clark.
