He is survived by: his wife Sue Wilkie Hinson; his children, Elizabeth "Libby" Wilkie Workman (David) of Vale, Ernest Lee Hinson (Cheryl) of Hickory and Gregory Todd Bailey (Debbie) of Icard; and his grandchildren, Heather Bailey, Jessica Hinson, Sophie Hinson, David Workman Jr. (Tia) of Vale and Greg Bailey (Kari) of Hickory. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
