We are sad to announce that on October 2, 2021, at the age of 81, Evelyn Pearl Gantt of Hickory, North Carolina passed away. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Pressley and Minnie Wright Huffman; her son Franklin Leroy Shook; and her siblings, Betty Mull, Earl Wright, Donald Huffman, Clyde Huffman and Tom Huffman.

She is survived by: her husband James Gantt; her children, James Brian Shook (Jessica) and Debbie Ramie (Roger); her siblings, Linda Faye Hersom, Pearl Lowman and Louie Wright (Cathy); and her grandchildren, Brandon, Daniel, Natasha, Sierra, Tanner and Gavin. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
