He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Parsons and Merit Huffman Parsons; his siblings, Benny, Barry, Gary, Gladys, Lois, Mary and Jerline; and his daughter Kimberly Parsons.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Richards Parsons; his sister Joyce Brannock of Hickory; his children, Robbin Buchanan of Morganton, Wanda Hall (Rick) of Connelly Springs, Brenda Bush (Bobby) of Hickory, Angela Ledford (Michael) of Conover, Carla Brotherton (Barry) of Catawba, Emily Huffman (George Holtz) of Statesville, Megan Parsons and Charles Wright (Kelly) of Granite Falls; and his pet Madeline Rose. He is also survived by his daughters, son, family and friends.
