He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Steers and Charlotte Wehner Steers; his sister Irene Schatzel; and his brother-in-law Louis Schatzel. He is survived by: his wife Jacoba Neuteboom Steers; his children, Derrick Steers, Matthew Steers (Melinda) of Hickory and Meagan Denouden (Brian) of Rock Hill, SC.; and his grandchildren, James Steers, Leah Steers and Connor Steers.
