It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Wilford Travis of Hickory, North Carolina, born in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 31, 2021, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilford Raymond Travis and Anna Buchanan Travis Gary. He is survived by: his wife Debra Reynolds Travis; his son Gary Wilford Travis Jr. of Morganton; his grandchildren, Tommy Travis, Junior Travis, Colton Brown and Caylie Brown; his stepchildren, Philip Austin of Hickory, Steven Bennett of Gastonia, Christina Johnson and Larry of Belmont; his stepgrandchildren, Grant Johnson, Chloe Johnson, Savannah Johnson, Laylah Johnson and Olivia Bennett; his mother-in-law Pasty Brown; and his sisters, Phyllis Deaton (James), Beverly Stanton of Susquehanna, PA, Charlotte Jubinski (Nick), Mary Jane Phillips of Salisbury, Caroline Dininny (John) and Christine Travis of Drexel. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
